Gateway Ticketing Systems Invests $7.94 Million To Expand Its Berks County, Pennsylvania, Facility

07/22/2013
A manufacturer of automated admission control and ticketing systems for the attraction, amusement, and transportation industries, Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc. will invest $7.94 million to expand its Berks County, Pennsylvania, production campus. The firm’s plans include construction of a 41,000-square-foot office building at its Colebrookdale Township facility.

“As governor, it is my priority to ensure our businesses have the resources to grow and create jobs for Pennsylvanians,” Gov. Tom Corbett said. “Gateway Ticketing’s expansion marks the second jobs announcement this month in Berks County, bringing 44 new jobs to the region.”

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority will provide a $2 million, 15-year low-interest loan at 1.5 percent to the Greater Berks Development Fund to assist Gateway Ticketing Systems with its expansion plans, which include creation of 15 jobs and retention of its 93 current employees.

“In the past two-and-a-half years, Pennsylvania’s employers have added more than 100,000 new jobs to the private sector,” Corbett said. “The number of employed Pennsylvanians is at the highest rate since 1983, and the state’s unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since the recession.”
