B&G Foods Relocates Its Mama Mary’s Brand To Yadkinville, North Carolina
07/07/2016
“Although this was a difficult decision, we believe that consolidating Mama Mary’s operations with the production facility we own in Yadkinville, North Carolina is in the best long-term interests of B&G Foods, our employees and our stockholders,” said Robert C. Cantwell, President/CEO of B&G Foods.
“This decision is consistent with B&G Foods’ ongoing efforts to reduce excess production capacity, improve productivity and operating efficiencies and reduce overall costs. We are grateful for the dedication and support of each of our team members and we appreciate their contribution in building the Mama Mary’s brand,” he added.
According to company officials, B&G Foods does not anticipate any disruption in production or the delivery of customer orders of any Mama Mary’s products. The Yadkinville, North Carolina facility currently has full baking operations, producing New York Style and Old London products, with capacity to seamlessly integrate the production of Mama Mary’s products. The Mama Mary’s operations are scheduled to fully transition by approximately October 14, 2016.
