KEZI9: Green Energy Company Breaks Ground in Albany
EnerG2, a green energy company, is building a new facility in Albany, Oregon,
KEZI9
reports. The company, which will improve the technology of hybrid vehicle batteries at the plant, will create 35 jobs.
Company leaders were attracted to Albany for its history of manufacturing.
"Our vision is to make Albany the center for energy storage materials," said Rick Luebbe, EnerG2 CEO.
A federal stimulus grant is partly funding the project. EnerG2 will begin moving equipment to the new facility within the coming months. It expects to produce its first products there by fall 2011.
