Deutsche Bank Investing $6.7 Million to Locate Tech Center in North Carolina

08/17/2009
Deutsche Bank AG will invest US$6.7 million to locate a technology development center in Cary, North Carolina, according to the North Carolina governor's office. The Germany-headquartered company will set up a subsidiary to be called DB Global Technology and will create 319 new jobs at an average annual salary of $88,213 plus benefits. "We are extremely excited at the prospect of opening a professional IT development center in the Research Triangle, which is home to some of the most highly skilled technology talent," says Anthony P. McCarthy, Deutsche Bank's global CIO of capital markets technology. "The level of cooperation among the governor, chamber of commerce, and the town of Cary has helped make this a seamless process. We look forward to a long and highly successful relationship that will extend for many years to come." The state has awarded tax breaks to Deutsche Bank that could yield up to $9.4 million over 11 years, contingent on job creation and retention; the Triangle Business Journal reports that the town of Cary will provide a $75,000 grant.
