Logistics Services Firm to Build New Distribution Center and Create 70 Jobs in Georgia

HK Logistics has announced it build its new 160,000-sq.-ft distribution center in Griffin, GA, located in Spalding County`s Green Valley Industrial Park. The $30 million investment is expected to create about 70 jobs. Construction has begun, and should be completed by summer 2012.

In addition to providing on-site storage and value-added services, the logistics facility will house office space and various high-density storage systems.

HK Logistics provides critical logistics services such as receiving and supplier validation, warehousing, kitting, subassembly, sequencing of material , and third-party inventory.

Company President Tom Stricker said his firm is looking forward to a long-term partnership with the city and county. "As we construct our facility over the next year and hire the staff to operate it we will draw on the local suppliers and workforce to help us succeed."
