iMold Plastics Locates Production Center In Waynesboro, Mississippi
08/23/2016
iMold Plastics will locate in a 50,000-square-foot build-to-suit facility being constructed in the new Meadowlands Industrial Park. The company, the first to locate in the industrial park, will lease the facility from Wayne County. The facility, which is expected to be fully operational by May 17, will supply containers to the iSpice Foods facility in Jackson, Alabama. iSpice Foods is a leading importer, processor and supplier of peppers and spices from around the world.
“I am grateful for the assistance we have received from the state, Wayne County and the city of Waynesboro. Their support of iMold Plastics from day one made the decision to locate in Waynesboro an easy one,” said iSpice Foods Managing Director Manouch Ilkhani.
Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for the installation of a water line. In addition, Wayne County is also providing assistance with the project.
“I am pleased to welcome iMold Plastics as the newest member of the Wayne County business community and newest corporate partner to Mississippi,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “I know the company’s strategic location in Waynesboro combined with the area’s skilled workforce will position it for many years of success in our state.”
“MDA is glad to provide support to iMold Plastics as the company prepares to locate in South Mississippi and create new career opportunities for Mississippians,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We salute our teammates at the Wayne County Economic Development District, the Wayne County Board of Supervisors, the mayor and Board of Aldermen for their partnership with MDA, which was integral in bringing iMold Plastics to Mississippi.”
