Standard Industrial Expands Clarksdale, Mississippi, Manufacturing Plant
08/25/2016
“Standard Industrial would like to thank all the entities involved in putting this project together,” said Standard Industrial President Steve Hays. “This expansion will allow our company to compete in a highly competitive marketplace with the new assembly line, and it gives us the capacity to manufacture even larger equipment than we previously have been able to produce.”
Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for building construction. The Delta Regional Authority and Coahoma County are also assisting with the project. Standard Industrial plans to start construction on its new production line in December.
“I thank the team at Standard Industrial for expanding its footprint in Clarksdale and creating new jobs for the residents of Coahoma County. The new jobs and investment will have a lasting, positive effect on the Mississippi Delta,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
“MDA proudly supports the state’s existing companies, such as Standard Industrial, when they choose to invest in their operations and generate new careers for the people of Mississippi,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We salute the talented teams at the Clarksdale/Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce, Delta Regional Authority, Coahoma County and the North Delta Planning and Development District whose partnership with MDA was integral in supporting Standard Industrial with its expansion.”
