Austrian-based Vibration Isolation Firm, Getzner Werkstoffe, Opens Subsidiary In Charlotte, North Carolina
08/27/2013
The company specializes in vibration isolation in railway, industrial and construction applications. Along with its plant in Austria, Getzner Werkstoffe also has branch offices in Japan, China, Jordan and India.
Getzner is leasing 1,000 square feet for sales and distribution and is considering a move to a larger facility in the future as business in the U.S. grows, Charlotte Chamber officials said. The new Charlotte operation strategically positions Getzner to service the U.S. market from one central location. Getzner is starting with a team of four employees and expects to hire more in the next few years.
“North America is a promising market. Charlotte itself is commercially attractive with a good infrastructure and many potential clients close by,” says Andreas Denk, President of Getzner USA.
The Charlotte Chamber cooperated with the North Carolina Department of Commerce in assisting with the site selection process and with the establishment of Getzner USA, Inc.
