Impresa Aerospace Acquires Manufacturing Center In Goose Creek, South Carolina

08/07/2015
Impresa Aerospace, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, acquired Dynamic Solutions and its existing Lowcountry manufacturing facility, effectively establishing Impresa’s first South Carolina operations in Berkeley County. Through its multi-million dollar investment, Impresa is expected to create 72 new jobs, over the next five years, in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Headquartered in Gardena, California, Impresa is a premier original equipment manufacturer and tier one provider of complex structures and components for virtually every aerospace platform – including commercial jets, regional and business aircraft and military aircraft. Impresa’s Berkeley County operations will be housed in the existing Dynamic Solutions building, which is located at Five Corporate Parkway in Goose Creek, South Carolina. With the acquisition completed, hiring for the 72 new positions is underway.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project.

“The decision to expand to South Carolina was definitely enhanced by the business-friendly orientation of the State, Berkeley County and City of Goose Creek. With the cooperation of state and local officials, we achieved our goal of eastward expansion, and advanced our strategic objectives of continual investment in our customers and increased vertical integration.” Said Impresa Aerospace, LLC CEO Scott Smith.

“Evaluating growth-oriented acquisition opportunities has been a key element of our strategy since Twin Haven acquired Impresa last fall. We have confidence in the strength of the Impresa platform and our management team's ability to integrate a new facility. The opportunity to acquire an existing, underutilized manufacturing footprint in the dynamic South Carolina market was immediately appealing. Impresa is focused on providing high quality solutions to our customers, and this new facility ideally positions us to meet the growing needs of Boeing and other key customers in the region,” Twin Haven Capital Managing Partner Rob Webster said.

“Impresa Aerospace, a company with a longstanding Boeing relationship, is a valued addition to the Charleston region’s growing aerospace sector. Their lightning fast speed-to-market and confidence in our available pool of highly-skilled labor further elevates our region’s profile within the global aerospace community. We are pleased to have facilitated their introduction to the acquired company, our community’s leaders and assets, and to assist Impresa in locating in Berkeley County,” Charleston Regional Development Alliance Board Chair Anita Zucker explained.
