Laird Technologies’ Plans Technology and Innovation Center In Hermitage, Pennsylvania
09/16/2013
The proposed 70,000 square foot Hermitage Technology and Innovation Center will house a world-class, high-technology electronics manufacturing and research and development operation. The project will create and support more than 500 new and existing jobs in Mercer County.
Laird Technologies manufactures components that protect electronic devices from electromagnetic interference and heat. It also develops products that enable and enhance wireless and antennae connectivity. Site preparation and construction on the new building will begin this October and is expected to last approximately a year.
“With this new facility, Laird Technologies is taking a major step forward in making Western Pennsylvania a home for high-tech manufacturing,” Gov. Tom Corbett said. “Laird Technologies will be a welcome addition to the LindenPointe Innovative Business Campus and will create high skilled, well-paying jobs for Mercer County residents.”
