Bach Composite Industry, a supplier of components for the wind power industry, will locate its first North American manufacturing facility in Fort Lupton, Colorado, according to the Colorado governor's office. The company will create up to 150 jobs at full production, which is scheduled for early next year. Denmark-headquartered Bach recently acquired a vacant building and will make extensive renovations to the space, where it will produce composite products for wind energy customers, including Vestas Nacelles America, which has facilities in Brighton and Windsor. "While its reputation as a leading state for renewable energy and the presence of such an important customer made Colorado an obvious choice, it was not our only option," says Geert Skovsgaard, the company's CEO. "Our decision to locate in Fort Lupton is a direct result of the extraordinary attention and assistance we received from the governor's economic development team, which made it possible to acquire, entitle, renovate, and occupy a vacant industrial building more quickly than I ever could have hoped." No information was released regarding specific investment or financial incentives.
