TeamHealth's New Tennessee Expansion to Create 160 Jobs
09/19/2011
Initial hiring for the first wave of new positions--and construction of the 25,000-sq.-ft. building--are scheduled to begin this fall. The facility is expected to be completed first quarter 2012.
Based in Knoxville, TN, TeamHealth provides emergency medicine, anesthesiology, hospital medicine and pediatric staffing and management services to over 700 civilian and military hospitals, clinics and physician groups in 45 states.
According to a TeamHealth senior executve, the Alcoa facility is a top-performing location with hard-working employees who have contributed to the company's success.
Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty praised TeamHealth's commitment to investing in Blount County. Under the governor's Jobs4TN plan, he said his department is committed to helping existing Tennessee businesses expand and remain competitive in our state. "This investment represents the types of high-skilled jobs that Tennessee needs to grow our economy."
