Information Technology Company Expanding in Indiana

09/02/2009
Apparatus Inc., a provider of information technology (IT) consulting and services, will invest $1.8 million to relocate its headquarters and service center in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The company plans to create 130 new jobs over the next three years, nearly doubling its work force. Apparatus will move from its current location in an 8,000-square-foot space to a 27,000-square-foot space less than a half-mile away. "Our ability to provide remote services for clients gives us the ability to locate nearly anywhere, but the business climate in Indiana is favorable, and there is real growth potential here with such a wide range of industry," says Kelly Pfledderer, Apparatus' CEO. "We've been very successful recruiting and retaining top talent from the excellent colleges and universities in Indiana." The state has offered Apparatus up to $1.3 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants, contingent on job creation; the city will also support property tax abatement. The company plans to launch operations at its new location next spring.
