Canadian Profile Composites Locating at Port of Bremerton, Washington

01/21/2011
Profile Composites, a British Columbia, Canada-based firm, is planning a training, manufacturing, and research and development facility at Washington State's Port of Bremerton. The company is planning a 10,000-square-foot building at the Olympic View Business Park.

"Profile is very pleased to be able to participate and help lead this tremendous opportunity made possible through our partnering with NCMS, A&P Technology, state and local governments, and the enthusiasm and assistance of Bremerton and Kitsap County. We see this type of cooperative business venture as significantly contributing to the rapid growth in the field of advanced composites," said company President Geoff Wood.

The company will receive $100,000 in Workforce Investment Act funds towards job training, some of which is targeting towards U.S. veterans.

Profile is investing $10.4 million in the first five years of the project.
