12/09/2010
EURO-COMPOSITES, a Luxembourg-based company, is investing $11.25 million and creating 70 jobs in Culpeper, Virginia. The company produces honeycomb composite material for industries including aerospace.

"A key deciding factor in our continued expansion in Virginia was the commitment to our employees and the critical role they play, not only in our success, but in future growth plans," said Sylke Heil, executive VP of administration & treasurer, EURO-COMPOSITES.

"With the support from the state and Culpeper County we feel we can continue to attract the dedicated and skilled employees necessary for success," said Matthew Flyer, executive VP sales & engineering, EURO-COMPOSITES.

Governor Bob McDonnell has approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to assist Culpeper County with the project. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA) will provide funding and services to support the company's labor activities through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

The facility will serve as EURO-COMPOSITES' sole U.S. manufacturing site and American headquarters.
