M+W Moves Headquarters Near Albany

03/10/2010
M+W US, Inc. will move its North American headquarters from Dallas to the Watervliet Arsenal near Albany, N. Y.  The company, which builds semiconductor plants, is constructing a $4.2 billion chip fab for GlobalFoundries at the Luther Forest Technology Campus in New York's Saratoga County.

M+W CEO Rick Whitney called the area "a world leader in nanotechnology education, innovation and commercialization."  The region has become known as an emerging Tech Valley.

The relocation will bring M+W's workforce to approximately 250 employees over the next 18 months.
