Distribution Services Company Adding Jobs in Indiana

04/09/2009
Buchanan Hauling and Rigging, a provider of distribution services, will invest $520,000 to expand its headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The company plans to create 60 new jobs with the project. "The advantages of expanding in Indiana made this decision the right one for our growing company," says Geary Buchanan, the company's president. "The low tax structure, logistical advantages, and strong support from our state and local partners will all help to fuel our future growth." In addition to its headquarters facility, Buchanan Hauling has operations in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. As part of the expansion deal, the company will receive up to $425,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $22,000 in training grants from the state, contingent on job creation; the city will also support tax abatement.
