Air Filtration Company Partnering With U.K. Firm, Expanding in South Carolina

Carolina Filters Inc., a provider of commercial air filtration products and services, will invest $3 million to expand its operations in Sumter, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. The project is expected to create 20 new jobs over the next five years. At the same time, the company will partner with Longworth Engineering Ltd., a United Kingdom-headquartered company that produces similar equipment, to represent the company's products in the United States. "We are pleased to expand our operations in Sumter County, and specifically in the city of Sumter," says Coles Dwight, principal and CEO of Carolina Filters. "The area has long provided our company with an excellent work force and positive business envronment. This expansion is an exciting next step for us. We appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials." Commerce officials did not release information regarding financial incentives.
