Quebecor World, a Canada-headquartered provider of marketing and advertising solutions and printing services, will invest US$35.2 million to expand its facility in Winchester, Virginia, according to the Virginia governor's office. The company plans to hire 30 new employees with the expansion. which will involve adding new equipment to increase production capability at the plant. Quebecor provides such products as catalogs, advertising inserts, and circulars; the company has more than 50 facilities and offices throughout the United States. "This investment is another clear demonstration of our commitment to provide our customers with the most flexible and efficient platform available in the retail market today," says Jacques Mallette, the company's president and CEO. "We are very pleased to be able to partner with the state of Virginia in this endeavor. This new equipment is strategically located to serve our customers and ensure they receive the highest return on their marketing investment." The state will provide a $300,000 performance-based grant to the company and will provide training assistance.
