Tennessee Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturer Expanding, Adding Jobs
Area Development Online News Desk (07/15/2009)
The Delfield Company, a manufacturer of reach-in coolers for fast-food and casual dining restaurants, will expand its plant in Covington, Tennessee, and create at least 60 new jobs over the next two years. The Memphis Business Journal reports that the company will invest $4 million for equipment and machinery for the facility, which includes 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space and a 50,000-square-foot warehouse, in order to begin a planned product expansion into medical and laboratory refrigerator and freezer manufacturing. "We've had a wonderful relationship with the community and are glad to bring more jobs to the area," says Jim Hardin, Delfield's human resources manager. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin next month.
