S&P Data Michigan Invests Nearly $4.4 Million In Troy, Michigan, Contract Center
07/18/2014
S&P Data Michigan, is a new subsidiary of S&P Data LLC which has operated since 2006 in Ontario, Cleveland, and San Diego, California providing contact center solutions. The parent company plans to expand in Michigan to service newly acquired contracts from two major mobile companies.
It will lease space in a building located at 340 E. Big Beaver in the City of Troy. As a result, the company has been awarded a $1 million Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. In addition, the City of Troy has offered support to the project through the use of municipal facilities, marketing and promotional assistance, or pre-development assistance.
The decision to launch a new location in Troy was fueled by the highly skilled and well regarded labor force, and the welcoming business climate in both the city of Troy and the state of Michigan, according to S&P Data Partner/CEO Dan Plashkes.
“Michigan is really working hard to reinvent itself. Our experience with the state and the city of Troy has truly shown that Michigan is open for business. It’s not just something they say,” Plashkes said.
“We’re really excited to get to work in Troy. The people and business conditions are excellent,” said S&P Data Partner/COO David Borts.
“S&P Data’s investment means Michigan residents will find good job opportunities that could well have gone to other states,” said Governor Rick Snyder. “Michigan is America’s comeback state and this expansion is another demonstration that we have changed Michigan in ways that now means more and better jobs and greater prosperity.”
“I am very pleased that S&P Data has announced that the company will locate its Michigan facility in Troy,” Troy Mayor Dane Slater said. “S&P Data’s newest facility reaffirms its strategy as a premier provider of contact center solutions to Fortune 500 companies. S&P Data adds to our community’s standing as Michigan’s premier address for business, retail and commerce.”
