Positron Opens Pharmaceutical Facility in Indiana

08/10/2010
Molecular imaging company Positron, which specializes in nuclear cardiology and cardiac PET, has opened a new facility in Indianapolis. The center will produce radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceutical goods.

"While the company's plan is to focus on small batch, radioactive PET products, the facility will also be utilized to support current and future Positron equipment, as well as, expand into new markets," said John Zehner, Positron COO.

The approximately 10,000-square-foot facility has room for the company to expand, and includes a clean room and laboratory to produce pharmaceuticals for industrial and medical applications. All products made at the Indiana facility will meet or exceed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.
