Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamping assemblies, started construction of a new multi-function manufacturing facility on its campus in Sarver, an unincorporated area in Buffalo Township, Butler County, north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The building expansion project will give Oberg more than 80,000 square feet of additional floor space to expand its manufacturing operations and new product development efforts. Oberg's new facility is expected to open in the spring of 2016.

Eric Oberg, Chairman of the Board for Oberg Industries, said, "This expansion project represents a measure of confidence in our talented employees, the continued success of our customer partners, and growth of our business and to this region in continuing to lead advanced manufacturing on a global scale."

"The new building will give us room to expand for future growth as well as do more cellular manufacturing to increase efficiency," said David Bonvenuto, Oberg's President/CEO. "This will allow the company to be more flexible on its manufacturing floor, handle larger projects, and be more cost competitive in addition to adding physical space to increase our employee development training areas," Bonvenuto added.
