08/16/2010
"We are very excited about moving our operations to Gilroy. We want to become an active member of the community, provide jobs, and help rev Gilroy's economic engine," said Scott Wheeler, Monterey's CFO.
The company will invest about $10 million to purchase equipment and make improvements to the new facility, which is expected to be operational by March 2011.
Monterey also has a facility in Kent, Washington, and produces food under the Monterey Pasta Company, CIBO Naturals, Emerald Valley Kitchen, and Sonoma Cheese brands.
