Expedia Bringing 500 Jobs to Springfield, Missouri
08/09/2010
"Today's announcement of the creation of hundreds of new local jobs will provide a major boost to the economy of Springfield and southwest Missouri," said Governor Jay Nixon.
Expedia will renovate 59,000 square feet of a building it will lease at the Springfield-Branson National Airport. The company already employs 270 workers in the city, and will begin occupying the space this fall. Once the renovation is complete, the building will move its Springfield customer service operations to the new center.
