Beck's Superior Hybrids Investing More Than $24.5M in Atlanta, Indiana

09/10/2010
Beck's Superior Hybrids, a developer of regionally adapted seeds, will create up to 72 jobs in Atlanta, Indiana, as part of a more than $24.5 million investment to build several new facilities. Beck's produces and sells corn, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa seeds to Midwest farmers.

"Working with the IEDC [Indiana Economic Development Corporation] has been a very positive factor in keeping our expansion plans here in Indiana," said Sonny Beck, president of Beck's Superior Hybrids.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered Beck's up to $650,000 in performance-based tax credits. Hamilton County will extend additional property tax abatement.

The jobs are expected to be created by 2015, with hiring beginning this year.
