CookMysoSite Expands Operations In O’Hara Township, Pennsylvania

Cook MyoSite Inc., a clinical stage biotech firm specializing in cell regeneration, will invest at least $26 million to expand its operations center in O’Hara Township, Pennsylvania. The company plans to create 64 jobs in Allegheny County.

The company is renovating a 62,000 square foot building into new headquarters. “The facility will be a new manufacturing location for global distribution of a biopharmaceutical produce that uses a patient’s own muscle cells to create a specialized treatment for numerous disease states,” said Stephen Westover, the firm’s Director of Quality.

Cook received a funding proposal from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development that includes a $100,000 Pennsylvania First Program Grant and $28,800 WEDnetPa Grant. The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team.

“The work Cook MyoSite is doing is changing lives and we are proud to support this expansion in Pennsylvania”, said Governor Tom Wolf.
