Although the Conference Board’s Measure of CEO Confidence indicates that the nation’s business leaders were considerably more confident about the short-term economic outlook at the end of the second quarter, the labor market remains weak, presenting an obstacle to economic recovery. Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury and Energy departments have announced an estimated $3 billion for the development of renewable energy projects around the country, which should help spur growth.
