Greetings to the readers of Area Development magazine.
California’s nickname is “the Golden State,” and this shining reputation is reflected in our terrific business climate. As one of the world’s largest economies, we have built outstanding relationships with companies, investors, and countries across the globe. Many vital industries are centered and have found success in California, and our state is home to a diverse and highly skilled work force ready for action. Our Golden State’s strategic location along the West Coast provides ample ports, airports, and other valuable infrastructure. Additionally, countless people travel and relocate to our state each year and prove an endless amount of consumers looking for fantastic products and services like the ones you provide.
All of these great features, among the many others that California boasts, can help your business reach new heights. I have constantly worked to protect our businesses and ensure that our state is a land of opportunity. When California’s businesses succeed, our state succeeds.
As you read in this issue about all the wonderful things our state has to offer you, remember that California is open for business, and we would love to have you come and join us!
Sincerely,
Arnold Schwarzenegger
