The New Brunswick government showed its support of the software industry this year when it extended funds to Professional Quality Insurance Ltd. (PQA) to create 300 new jobs. The company already employs 91 workers in Fredericton and Moncton.

The agreement is part of a provincial program to extend partnerships to successful New Brunswick companies seeking to expand and maintain jobs.

"This expansion is allowing us to build on our existing reputation for excellence with our customers here and around the world," said PQA President Keith McIntosh. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to hire more New Brunswickers, whose creativity, skills, and superior work ethic have helped us build this successful company here in my home province."

PQA will receive C$7,544 for each new, full-time, permanent employee, funding training, equipment, and expansion. The company was founded in 1997 and provides software and content-quality assurance and optimization to North American and European clients.
