Eagle Bend Manufacturing has announced it will add 188 new jobs at its Clinton facility in Anderson County, Tennessee, as part of a $64 million dollar expansion. The multi-phase project will increase the 334,000-sq.-ft. plant by more than 100,000 square feet over the next five years. The initial phase begins first quarter 2012.

The company is a Tier 1 automotive parts supplier for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of cars and light trucks worldwide, and a division of Magna International, Inc. It has been an important part of Anderson County's business landscape for the past 25 years.

The new jobs will include assembly, laser and press operators, and maintenance positions. Currently the Clinton facility employs over 600 people.

"Eagle Bend Manufacturing is the largest private employer in the county outside of Oak Ridge," said Anderson County Mayor Myron Iwanski. "This expansion demonstrates that Anderson County has the infrastructure, skilled labor force and low business costs required to be profitable in today's tough economy."
