Retailer Macy's is expanding its e-commerce operations with 725 new jobs in New York, San Francisco, and Atlanta. The new positions will support the growth of its websites macys.com and bloomingdales.com.

Having the right talent in the right place is vital as we seek to sustain and accelerate our sales growth online, as well as in the stores. These expansions to macys.com and bloomingdales.com represent investments in merchandising, marketing, and site development, which complement ongoing improvements in systems infrastructure, fulfillment capacity, and customer service."

Macys.com will add 260 jobs in New York and about 200 employees in San Francisco. Bloomingdales.com will create 115 jobs in New York. Macy's Systems & Technology organization will create about 150 jobs in Johns Creek, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. The organization supports e-commerce technology platforms for the two websites.

Macy's recently announced a new online fulfillment center for Martinsburg, West Virginia.
