ExactTarget, a provider of on-demand and e-mail marketing solutions, will invest $25 million to expand its operations in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The company plans to create 300 jobs over the next five years as part of the project. "We have built a dynamic technology company with highly talented and skilled people right here in Indiana, and many of them are from our homegrown, world-class university talent," says Scott Dorsey, ExactTarget's CEO. "We are proud to continue our expansion surrounded by Indianapolis' top-notch cultural amenities, low cost of living, and a high quality of life." The company plans to invest in real estate and new technical equipment, including a new technology center in an existing building a short distance from its current headquarters. Incentives offered to ExactTarget include up to $3.65 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants from the state contingent on job creation; the city of Indianapolis will offer property tax abatement.
