Hailo USA, a German wind turbine company, will open its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Elberton, GA, announced Gov. Nathan Deal. The firm will invest $10 million and create 200 new jobs over five years.

Hailo USA produces climbing and service lift systems, platforms, railings, shieldings, doors and other mechanical components for wind turbine towers. It also is a supplier to over 25 original equipment manufacturers. The new plant in Georgia will help the company expand and add production capacity to meet the growing needs of its customers in the wind energy industry.

Elberton was selected as Hailo USA's new home due to its available skilled workforce, proximity to the company's domestic supply chain and Georgia's international seaports, educational resources, business climate and favorable quality of life.
