“This expansion is a testament to the hard work of our staff,” said Senior Vice President William Evanson. “In my six years at Pocket Nurse, we’ve experienced unprecedented growth."

.“Our new wing renews Pocket Nurse’s commitment to healthcare simulation educators,” said Pocket Nurse President & Founder Anthony Battaglia, MS, BSN, RN. “If educators need something that isn’t available from one of our vendors, we can now address that need by manufacturing those items on-site.”

Pocket Nurse began in 1992 as a distributor of medical supplies for education and simulation. In June 2004, Pocket Nurse began manufacturing Demo Dose, its proprietary line of simulated medications off-site. Its SimObesity family of product solutions is comprised of suits that can be put on manikins or worn by standardized patients to help students learn more about treating bariatric patients. Studies have shown that the use of these types of product increases empathy and reveals bias that can be addressed in debriefing.According to company officials, Pocket Nurse experienced its most successful year in 2018 and is on track to exceed those earnings in 2019.

“In my six years at Pocket Nurse, we’ve experienced unprecedented growth that I’m sure will continue under incoming Senior Vice President Eric Bordenstein.”

“We’re thrilled with the success of our student health totes,” said Tote Service Coordinator Emily McCandless. “Our sales growth and feedback from educators prove we’re fulfilling an important need in our industry. We look forward to enhancing our support of educators using these new facilities.”

Pocket Nurse is nurse owned and operated and has been a trusted partner in simulation education for nursing, EMS, pharmacy technology, and allied health since 1992. “We provide over 5,000 simulation solutions to healthcare educators nationwide. We’re proud of our role in improving patient outcomes by enhancing suitable learning environments for future healthcare professionals,” company officials said.
