An exporter, importer and distributor of food products, Haddon House Food Products Inc, will invest $3.1 million to increase operations at its Chester County, South Carolina facility, with estimates of hiring 100 new employees.

Haddon House Food Products Inc. is expanding its existing facility, located at 578B L and C Industrial Park in Richburg, to allow for increased volume for the company’s distribution operations. The company currently has more than 250 employees. The expansion is expected to be complete by 2017.

“We are pleased to take the next big step for our company and move forward with plans to greatly expand our Chester County facility. South Carolina has provided us with an excellent place to do business and an exceptional workforce. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials,” said Bob Blake, facility manager for Haddon House food products.

“It’s great to see another one of our state’s existing businesses build on its presence here. We celebrate Haddon House Food Products decision to invest $3.1 million and create 100 new jobs in Richburg. Today’s announcement is also another big win for one of South Carolina’s rural areas,” said Gov. Nikki Haley. No tax incentives were announced by state officials as part of this latest expansion.

“South Carolina has continued to show that it is the right place for companies to do business, especially for those whose business is getting products to customers. Our state continues to see its distribution and logistics sector grow, and today’s announcement by Haddon House Food Products is another indication of that success,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.

“Since 1988 Haddon House Food Products has been a strong community member and partner in the economic success of Chester County,” said Chester County Supervisor R. Carlisle Roddey. “We are extremely pleased that they made the decision to expand their Richburg operation. Chester County appreciates the company’s investment in our community, and we will continue to work with them and our other existing industrial partners to create the best possible conditions for the growth of business.”
