Safecor Health, a national leader in unit dose drug packaging services for hospitals, long-term care providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and digital health companies, plans to expand its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The $4 million project is expected to create 100 jobs.

The company currently occupies a nearly 50,000-square-foot building at 4060 Business Park Drive and will be expanding with an adjacent second facility at 4000 Business Park Drive. The investment includes building costs, new machinery and equipment, training programs and IT services.

“Since moving into our Columbus headquarters in 2011, Safecor has experienced tremendous growth made possible by doubling the size of our current facility and investing in our employees and key systems. Those investments have provided the infrastructure needed to dramatically expand our customer relationships over the past 11 years,” said Sean Henderson, CFO of Safecor. “Our latest expansion is critical to meeting the demands of a strong and growing market for packaging services. We’re excited to expand our local footprint and national capabilities.”

Safecor provides more than 1,000 hospitals and pharmacies nationwide with a safe and reliable system for repackaging non-sterile unit-dose products. The company also has a growing portfolio of commercial medications available for purchase through wholesalers and provides contract packaging services for drug manufacturers, group purchasing organizations, wholesalers, telehealth and direct-to-consumer companies.

“Since its founding in Ohio nearly 15 years ago, Safecor Health’s pharmaceutical packaging and repackaging services have improved patient safety and efficiencies for hospitals and pharmacies across the country,” noted JobsOhio president and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “Safecor will bring more capacity to innovate and meet growing demand while nearly doubling its Columbus workforce with the addition of 100 new jobs.”
