Telect, a developer and maker of power and connectivity systems and other network infrastructure products, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Plano, Texas.

"In Plano, we have great employees, a central location for manufacturing and distribution, and proximity to our partners and customers," said Tom Potter, Telect's director of North American operations. "The Plano facility is crucial for Telect to serve our North American customers and multinational OEMs, and as a link to our Guadalajara, Mexico, facility."

Telect invested more than $3 million in the facility. It will produce outdoor enclosures and power systems for wireless networks, equipment racks for data centers, and telecom central office infrastructure in Plano. Telect has headquarters in Liberty Lake, Washington.
