Coca-Cola Enterprises will locate a new information technology (IT) development center in Louisville, Kentucky, according to the Kentucky governor's office. The BIS Development Center of Louisville will employ approximately 35 people at opening in early 2009, and company officials say they will recruit from the local base of college students to fill the positions. "The ability to attract and retain critical technical and diverse talent is one of Coca-Cola Enterprises' strategic priorities," says Percy L. Wells II, the company's vice president of public affairs and communications. "The expansion of our BIS system in Louisville demonstrates our commitment to creating a work environment conducive to professional development, growth, and one that fosters creativity." The company will also set up a student internship program at the site. Incentives offered to Coca-Cola include state tax benefits of up to $730,000.
