Area Development
Apparel retailer J. Crew is expanding the work force at its Lynchburg, Virginia, distribution site with 177 new jobs. The company will also add 100,000 square feet to the operation.

"Our expanded Lynchburg facility will enhance J. Crew's commitment to customer service while supporting the current and future growth of the company," said Tony Brown, senior vice president, Global Supply Chain. "Having been in the area for 25 years, we continue our dedication to our employees and the overall Lynchburg community."

J. Crew could receive benefits from the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program. It may also be eligible for a Major Business Facility Job Tax Credit. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA) will provide funding and services to support worker recruitment and training through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
