Sensis Corporation, a supplier of electronics equipment to the aerospace and defense industries, will invest $44 million to expand its facilities in East Syracuse, New York, according to the New York governor's office. The company will create 300 new jobs -- mostly for engineers, computer scientists, and technology support personnel -- with an average annual salary of $85,000 plus benefits. The company will expand an existing building by 30,000 square feet and construct a new 150,000-square-foot building adjacent to it. Among the incentives offered to Sensis is a $5 million grant from the state. "Sensis has always been deeply committed to central New York, the chosen home of 600 of our employees and their families," says Jud Gostin, president and CEO of Sensis Corporation. "By enabling us to expand our facilities here as required to accommodate our anticipated future growth, this capital grant makes it easy for us to maintain that deep commitment. We appreciate the State's confidence in us and intend to continue to justify it."
