Galmont Consulting, a Chicago-based software consulting firm, is opening a new software testing center in Lexington, Kentucky. The 4,000-square-foot facility will house 90 employees, who will be hired within the next three years. The company will spend $1.3 million on the project.
"We are currently seeing a big swing back in the direction of companies trying to bring some of their outsourced testing activities back to the U.S.," said Jeri Smith, president of Galmont. "Lexington's close proximity to our headquarters, as well as the volume of quality computer science graduates from the University of Kentucky and other area colleges, will help Galmont better serve our global clientele."
Galmont will receive tax incentives up to $800,000 from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
Galmont is also working with the University of Kentucky College of Engineering to build a partnership to hire promising computer science students.
