The Michigan Economic Development Corporation reported the the project is expected to generate a capital investment of $300,000 and create 25 high-wage, high-tech jobs. As a result of the decision to expand and add jobs in Michigan, the company has been awarded a $75,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund.

West Michigan economic development organization The Right Place worked in collaboration with VDA Labs and MEDC to ensure the company continued its growth in the region.

“VDA Labs’ decision to expand in Grand Rapids means Michigan residents will have excellent job opportunities that could have gone to other states,” said Jeff Mason, CEO of the MEDC, which administers incentives and programs on behalf of the Michigan Strategic Fund.

“VDA Labs is helping to diversify Michigan’s economy and further establish Michigan as a leading state in cybersecurity job growth. It is thanks to many public and private partners that this project is taking place, and we are pleased to support that collaboration,” Mason added.

“We’re seeing West Michigan’s technology sector continue to grow as more companies choose to invest in our region,” said Jen Wangler, senior business development manager and project lead, The Right Place, Inc. “VDA Labs’ decision to establish its first campus in Plainfield Township speaks to the quality of our talent and ability to provide a strong foundation for growing tech companies.”
