Phoenix Packaging Operations will invest more than $20 million to open its first American facility in Pulaski County, Virginia. The move will create 240 jobs at a site that will produce thermoformed rigid plastic packaging. The facility will also serve as the company's North American headquarters.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell extended an $850,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to Phoenix. The company chose the Pulaski site after considering more than 40 other potential locations in six states.

Phoenix is a family-owned, Latin American company that designs and manufactures plastic packaging and disposable products for the food industry.
