Area Development
Martin Interconnect Services, a producer of wire harnesses for manufacturing applications, is expanding in Wichita, Kansas, according to the Wichita Eagle. The company will add 37 jobs over the next five years, and has purchased a new building in the city.

The company will invest more than $615,000 in the expansion. The Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition is partly funding the growth with a forgivable loan. County Commissioners will vote to approve the funds within the next few weeks.

Martin, a family-owned business, has almost doubled in size over the past two years. Company owners decided to leverage the recession to expand from a local business to a national operation.
