IQT Inc. announces it will establish its U.S. headquarters in Nashville, TN, as well as hire up to 900 workers over the next five years for a call center. The New York City-based business process outsourcing firm will occupy 60,000-sq.- ft. of space in a building located in SoBro, a fast-growing downtown neighborhood.

IQT is a leading provider of customer relationship management services and e-commerce solutions for Fortune 500 companies in the technology and telecommunications industries. Besides its U.S. operations, IQT also has business units in Quebec and Ontario, Canada.

"Nashville and Tennessee are the right fit for our growing company," said IQT co-CEO Alex Mortman. "We're looking for smart, educated, technology savvy people to provide the best customer service in our industry and we believe Nashville is the right place for our company to grow its business."

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said incentives offered IQT from metro Nashville include a one-time grant for each job created and a grant from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to offset start up costs. The incentives will be submitted to the Metro Council for approval this week. In addition, IQT will potentially be eligible for statutory tax credits and a FastTrack Job Training Assistance grant.
