Information technology (IT) provider CGI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada-headquartered CGI Group Inc., will expand its software development and systems integration operations in Lebanon, Virginia, according to the Virginia governor's office. The company plans to add 100 new high-tech jobs with the project. "With our Center of Excellence in Russell County as the cornerstone, CGI is proud to continue its commitment to creating high-value, high-quality jobs in rural America," says Donna Morea, president of CGI US. "The commonwealth is a recognized leader in fostering opportunities to do business in Virginia. The flexibility of local and regional government coupled with the availability of highly skilled resources made the decision to add new jobs in Virginia an easy one." The state will provide an incentives package that includes a $250,000 grant along with training assistance; local governments will also provide training assistance.
