Polysols Inc., a recycler of manufacturing waste, will invest $1 million to locate a manufacturing facility in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. The company plans to create 10 jobs with the project. Polysols, a subsidiary of Germany-based Polywert GmbH, will use manufacturing wastes and materials created from the production of polyester fibers to make new products; its first planned product will be footing material used in the equine industry. "We are pleased to locate our first U.S. facility in the upstate of South Carolina," says Christoph Bock, a Polysols board member. "Spartanburg County is an excellent fit for our company, providing us with an excellent business environment, an excellent labor force, and great market access. We appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials." The company plans to begin hiring for the 10 positions at the end of September. No information was released regarding financial incentives offered to the company.
