FLEXcon Company, Inc., an innovator in adhesive coating and laminating, and its affiliate, Blueshift Materials, a pioneer in the development of polymer aerogels, reported Blueshift has moved its production and product development operations to FLEXcon’s campus in Spencer, Massachusetts.

Blueshift will take over 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space to produce its AeroZero polyimide aerogel film and carry out application development in a clean room environment. In addition, creation of wet lab space within the next year is planned.

According to company officials, Blueshift is ramping up its AeroZero (Polymer Aerogel) capabilities with a new production line to meet quickly growing customer demand. The state-of-the-art line will revolutionize the manufacturing process for Polyimide Aerogels.

Customers of polyimide aerogel film products can be confident moving forward that they will have a long-term dependable supplier that can handle whatever quantity they require, officials said. Furthermore, with Blueshift’s ISO:9001 and AS9100D certified quality management system, customers can be assured that product quality will be consistently best-in-class.
