Simplex Healthcare, a provider of products for patients with diabetes, will expand its headquarters and operations center in Franklin, Tennessee, according to the Nashville Business Journal. The company plans to add 300 new jobs over the next two years as it moves into a new 91,253-square-foot facility. "We are committed to rapidly grow through this recession, taking advantage of the fact that many companies are cutting back," says Doug Hudson, Simplex CEO, quoted in the Journal. "We believe that this is a key period in the development of our brands, and we will embrace this recession as a time when our company became a household name to patients with diabetes." The company currently operates in approximately 66,000 square feet in two facilities in Franklin and Brentwood, Tennessee; the move is scheduled to be completed by November of this year.
